Norman Lewis: The Second Transition 1947 – 1951

Bill Hodges Gallery, 1994

This first catalogue by the gallery was solely produced for the exposure of Norman Lewis’ very important early abstract expressionist works.  Many Abstract Expressionist catalogues contain images of master painter Norman Lewis’ works, however, this catalogue remains one of the first to solely feature his very important, early abstract expressionist paintings from 1947 to 1951.

The catalogue is from a 1994 exhibition and showcases 9 paintings. An exhaustive artist chronology is also included.
